MBBS, BPhty, FRACGP, FARGP
Specialist General Practitioner
Dr Tom Toro brings extensive experience as a highly qualified Hobart GP with a background in both emergency medicine and general practice. After completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2005 and graduating from the University of Queensland Medical School in 2010, Thomas went on to earn Fellowships with both the RACGP and the Fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice.

Tom has worked in some of Australia’s most remote and challenging regions, gaining deep experience across emergency medicine, acute illness, musculoskeletal care, and general family health. Now based in Hobart, previously working at Battery Point Medical, he’s passionate about delivering approachable, high-quality care to the local community.

MBBS. FRACGP
Specialist General Practitioner
Dr Tim Vandenberg provides comprehensive, high-quality care across all areas of general practice. A Tasmanian local, he graduated from University of Tasmania in 2013 before completing most of his hospital training in Queensland, including working in rural outback communities.
Dr Tim values building strong relationships with his patients, taking the time to listen carefully and work collaboratively to find the best approach for their individual health needs. While he treats patients across the full range of general practice, he has particular expertise in chronic disease management, skin cancer care, and travel medicine.
Outside the clinic, Dr Tim enjoys surfing, bouldering, and trail running.
Having recently moved from Treasury Medical, he would be delighted to continue caring for his previous patients, and is also welcoming new patients.
Specialist Physicians
MBBS FRACP PhD
Clinical Associate Professor
Associate Professor Wallace is one of Hobart’s only privately practising Internal Medicine specialists. Her practice focuses on the diagnosis, management, and prevention of chronic disease in adult patients, working closely and collaboratively with referring General Practitioners.
Internal Medicine (also known as General Medicine), as defined by the Internal Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand (IMSANZ), is a specialty dedicated to the comprehensive care of adult patients with complex, multi-system conditions. It emphasises holistic patient management rather than single-organ disease. Internal Medicine specialists bring broad expertise in complex diagnostics, treatment planning, chronic
disease management, and coordination of care across multiple specialties.
For patients who may benefit from this specialised care, referrals can be sent via fax or email to Varo Medical.
